How to Make Hikima: A step by step Guide to Delicious Nigerian Meat pies. Hikima, also known as Nigerian meat pies, are a popular snack in West Africa.
Hikima is a Nigerian snack inspired by British meat pies. The name “hikima” comes from the Hausa language, meaning “meat pie.”
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
Half cup sugar
Water
Oil
Hikima iron.
Procedures:
1.Mix flour,sugar and water inside a clean bowl to make batter not too thick not too watery.
2.Heat oil and dip hikima iron, when it’s hot, remove the iron and dip inside the batter you mixed and,remove immediately and place inside the oil.
3.shake gradually until the hikima comes out from the iron, fry until it turns to golden brown.
4. turn the other side to allow it fry.
5.repeat the process until you finish frying
